Rake back. The way all players earn money

By Daniel Michaels, Mar 26th 2007
At the first sight rake back is a way to get some of the money you have gambled on back for free. But to really understand the strategy you must know the meaning of term rake. It is the way online poker rooms make their money, by collecting a percentage around 5% of every pot.

To win money back from the rake paid you have to sign up through sites that advertise poker rooms. By affiliating to these sites both parties involved earn money: the affiliate gains money and, also, more players through the rake they offer and the players obtain money by signing up with a poker room.

Why is rake back a popular practice? It is so because by letting the house to collect a percentage of the pot some money came back to all players not only to winners. The affiliate sites found this attractive method for gamblers who even don't noticed that they are giving money to pay the house because anyway they win.

The more the rack back percentage increase, the more you earn. The more hands you play, the more you win money, apart from what you win at the table. All you have to do is to sign up to different poker rooms through an affiliate site. Usually the earnings are between a few hundred dollars and a few thousands every month.
